Happy New Year
Happy 2010!!! Can't wait to see what new adventures this year will bring us. Everyday Devin is doing something different. He is growing into a little man. We are so blessed to have him as a son. You couldn't ask for a better child.
We are camping right now in Wekiva with some friends. It is raining so I am playing around on the computer. Devin & Philip are snoozing...
Christmas was a blast with Devin. He enjoyed opening his presents and playing with all his new toys that Santa brought him. He got so excited when he saw what was behind the wrapping paper. He opened a gift and started clapping and shouting YEAH!!! It was so adorable. He never did want to get close to Santa at the mall but he sure was curious. He really loved all the decorations around the house (lights, blow up Santa outside, tree). Every morning he wakes up, walks into the living room, and shouts "oh no" and put his hands up by his ears because the Christmas tree was not lit up. He learned how to turn it on. So his job became turning on the tree lights. Every day we would come home from work/school Devin and I would go straight outside to turn on the outside lights and the blow up Santa. When the outside Santa was not inflated Devin would go "shh, Santa sleeping or Santa night-night". He is going to be upset when we have to put away all the decorations.....
We got to spend some quality time with the family on Christmas. Nanny came over Christmas Eve and stayed the night. On Christmas day we had Devin's Grandpa, Uncle Tim, Cousin Michelle & her boyfriend David, Cousin Eric & his girlfriend Christina, and Cousin Madysn. I cooked a prime rib for the first time, with my mom's help of course. It turned out pretty good.
We missed all our family members that we could not be with this Christmas! My Grandma had a setback right before Christmas. She was taken to the hospital on 12-22 because she couldn't walk. Come to find out she had infection throughout her body and her heart is running at about 25%. The doctor said she has had to have several heart attacks. She is 87 years old and too weak to go through heart surgery. So, they are just going to keep her on medication. She did end up having surgery on 12-23 to remove a blod clot from her leg. That was very scary not knowing whether she was going to make it through the surgery or not. She is a fighter and she made it through just fine. She is currently in a rehab center and will then go to a nursing home :( She will be heartbroken she has to go in a nursing home. She has lived with her daughter (my aunt) for the past several years. I am not sure what 2010 will bring her but only time will tell. Philip, Devin, & I are going to Pennsylvania to visit her in February.
We have already planned out our vacations for the year. We plan on taking several camping trips, going to Pennsylvania, going to West Palm Beach, and taking a cruise. We try to use our camper at least once a month. Our 15th wedding anniversary is coming up in August so we booked a cruise with some of our family.
We wish all our family and friends a Happy New Year!!!!!
